Dr Nazari is an ophthalmologist and a retina specialist with extensive experience in doing complex cataract and retinal surgeries. ​

After becoming a fellow of The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists, Dr Nazari completed an additional 18-month retina fellowship when he gained further specialist skills in managing medical and surgical retinal conditions. His main areas of interest are:

  • Cataract surgery
  • Medical retina: Diabetic Retinopathy, Age Related Macular Degeneration and Retinal Vein Occlusion.
  • Surgical retina: Macular hole, Epiretinal membrane, Vitreo-macular traction syndrome, Diabetic retinopathy and retinal detachment
  • Pterygium surgery

Dr Nazari is appointed as a consultant ophthalmologist at The Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital, where he is actively involved in training the next generation of ophthalmologists in Victoria. Dr Nazari has also published several research articles in well-known international ophthalmology journals.

Dr Chengde Pham completed his medical degree at the University of Melbourne. He became an Ophthalmologist after undertaking Specialist Ophthalmology Surgical training in Melbourne through the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmology.

Dr Pham is an experienced eye surgeon in adults and gained further specialised skills managing children’s eye conditions and surgeries through a Paediatric Fellowship at the Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne.

Dr Pham also has Consultant Ophthalmologist appointments at several Public Hospitals:

  • The Austin Hospital
  • The Royal Children’s Hospital

Dr Pham has extensive experience in:

  • Cataract surgery
  • Laser surgery
    • Retinal laser
    • Glaucoma laser (YAG peripheral iridotomy, SLT laser)
    • YAG capsulotomy
  • Diseases of the retina including:
    • Diabetes and diabetic retinopathy
